Site Vist Program

The Site Visit program will be held 9am - 3pm on Monday 10 September. The meeting location is the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the exact point will be emailed to registered attendees prior to the day. Registration will include transport, light refreshments and lunch. The Site Visit program is only open to prefabAUS Members who are registered to attend the Conference.

Crestmead Facility Tour


Fleetwood’s Crestmead facility spans a massive 50,000m2. This facility has been successfully delivering a variety of turnkey projects for a variety of sectors. Most recently their work includes the design, construct and transfer of a range of modular classrooms and learning environments for the Queensland Government Department of Education and Training.

Visit includes exposure to:

  • bolt together steel system 
  • light steel frame construction
  • perimeter steel structure system

Rochedale Townhouse Project


Australian Framing Solutions, a customer of Scottsdale Construction Systems, is constructing the light gauge steel framing for 60 two level medium density homes in Brisbane’s Southside.

The project is a one of many medium density sites currently being constructed by Australian Framing Solutions ranging from 8 homes to 263 homes.

The builder on the project is Rawcorp Constructions and the Developer is Azure.

UQ Centre for Future Timber Structures

The Centre for Future Timber Structures at the University of Queensland is a Centre of Excellence for the education of future timber industry professionals and the creation of innovations that can drive the future development of timber in the built environment. The innovative technologies developed and the research-based education provided, seek to investigate new and enhanced applications that will help to develop how these technologies can be introduced into the market
