The Smart Building Industry Awards recognise projects that promote excellence, innovation and sustainable practices. These Awards have been conceived by prefabAUS – the peak industry body for prefabricated building in Australia - to reward manufacturers, builders and industry professionals that strive for truly ‘smart’ products and processes.

Download and read the Submissions Criteria for the category/categories that you want to enter. The Submission criteria is found under each category below
Prepare your submission (gather documents, write your answers etc.)
Submit via the google form (separate link for each category) by 5pm Thursday 17 July 2025

This category is designed to showcase a partnership between a property developer or builder and a prefab builder/manufacturer to deliver housing at scale that utilises modern methods of construction.

The second annual Smart Building Industry Awards will be held at the RACV Royal Pine Gold Coast on Thursday, 28 August 2025 (in line with Offsite 2025).
Marking a significant milestone in the prefabricated building industry, this prestigious event brings together a diverse and dynamic group of attendees, including Offsite attendees, award nominees, industry leaders, team members and supporters to celebrate and recognise the outstanding achievements and excellence of the smart building sector.
The event serves as a platform to highlight the innovative contributions and cutting-edge advancements that are shaping the future of prefabricated construction.

Named ‘Ngarrwa’ — the Wadawurrung word for ‘knowledge,’ the two-storey educational facility at Geelong Lutheran College, Armstrong Creek is home to senior students. The building features classrooms, breakout zones, Year 12 communal area with Genius Bar, tiered amphitheatre presentation space known as ‘The Cove’, and outdoor learning and recreational areas.
