Austin Maynard Architects is an award-winning Melbourne and Hobart-based practice established in 2002 by Andrew Maynard, with Mark Austin joining as co-director in 2009.

Established in 2002, the practice has a decorated history of bespoke residential homes across Australia that reflect a diverse and imaginative client base. In recent years, Austin Maynard Architects have applied their expertise to multi- residential projects and emerged as leaders in design-led housing with a conscience. Working across single and multi-residential, hotel, retail and commercial projects, the team are highly-awarded innovators in joyful, sustainable architecture. Guided by context and community, the designs are thoughtful responses to brief that connect with their surrounding environment.

For prefab to be embraced, it's got to feel like home. We need architectural quality variation within standardisation, adaptation to site and climate. So the role of architects becomes designing the kit of parts, designing the rules of assembly and designing variation within the system.
