Spiral Architects Lab is a Sydney-based architecture practice founded in 2011 by Felipe Ayala, specialising in modular design, prefabrication, and modern methods of construction across the full range of residential housing typologies.
The practice is built on a systems-thinking approach that adapts to the specific requirements of each housing program; affordable housing, aboriginal housing, SDA accommodation, senior living, and government social housing; from single dwellings and duplexes to apartment buildings up to four storeys. Notable achievements include winning the Victorian Government's Future Homes competition and delivering modular designs for Homes Tasmania's ModHomes program. Felipe Ayala is a registered architect in NSW, VIC, and TAS, a Design and Building Practitioner in NSW, and brings 25 years of experience with 6+ years specialising in prefabrication and MMC.
