Established in 2003, SUHO is an Australian Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) Consultancy supporting residential, commercial, industrial, mixed-use and modular developments nationwide. We work collaboratively with developers, architects, modular builders, manufacturers, planners and project teams from concept design through to approvals and delivery, helping create environmentally responsive, thermally comfortable and future-ready buildings. Our team provides integrated ESD consultancy, energy efficiency assessments, NatHERS, VURB, Section J compliance, planning-stage ESD reporting and sustainability advisory, helping projects achieve planning and building approval requirements while improving long-term building performance, occupant comfort and operational efficiency.
SUHO has extensive experience supporting a broad range of prefabricated and industrialised construction methods, including panelised systems, volumetric modular buildings, frame and truss construction, and emerging Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) solutions. We regularly work with steel, timber, mass timber, aluminium, concrete and composite construction systems.
By engaging early in the design process, we help modular builders optimise passive design, improve thermal performance, reduce redesign during approvals, and align sustainability outcomes with efficient manufacturing and construction processes. Our practical, integrated approach supports faster delivery, reduced project risk and high-performing buildings that respond to evolving regulatory, environmental and market expectations.
