FormFlow was established in 2016 in Geelong, Victoria to commercialise a world-first metal forming process that has been used to create a unique range of products for the building industry. Founded by Dr Matt Dingle, with co-founders Dr Matthias Weiss from Deakin University and Ross and Lyn George from Austeng, FormFlow has developed innovative building solutions including FormFlow Cladding (featuring the award-winning C90 bend with built-in bushfire protection) and FormFlow Modular (Australia's first modular building system developed for efficient high-volume production). In 2025 FormFlow established a partnership with Geelong based builder Modularity by Rendine. FormFlow will focus on the development of innovative products, housing designs and building systems. Modularity will build and deliver FormFlow housing from their manufacturing base in Geelong. FormFlow and Rendine are part of a large-scale project with Urbis, Deakin University and University of Wollongong to Deakin University has joined a major collaborative project to deliver high-quality modular homes to help ease housing challenges across Colac and Apollo Bay. $2.018 million has been provided under the Federal Governments regional Precincts and Partnerships Program. FormFlow will develop a new modular housing design approach combined with a production system to enable rapid delivery of high-quality, resilient housing in regional Australia. Modularity will build a proof-of-concept prototype to evaluate and refine the housing designs and production system.
