All exhibition space has now been sold for Austech 2019, due to take place at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 14-17 May.

With two weeks to go before the show begins, confirmation that the last available exhibitor stand has now been taken marks the first time that Austech has sold out in over a decade, and means that this year’s exhibition is one of the fast-selling in the event’s history. With 2019 marking its 20th anniversary, this year’s show has already been breaking records, having been confirmed as the biggest Austech yet.

“We’re just delighted to have managed to sell all the available stands for Austech 2019,” says Kim Banks, AMTIL’s Events Manager and Austech organiser. “We already were on track for our biggest show yet, and with every last square metre of space allocated, it’s just going to be packed in there. With the sales finally closed, we can now focus on ensuring we deliver the best show possible, for our exhibitors and for everyone who comes to visit Austech.”

Co-located with National Manufacturing Week (NMW), Austech is Australia’s premier advanced manufacturing and machine tool exhibition. In total, a total of 170 organisations have booked stands at this year’s exhibition, with the exhibition floor space occupying more than 6,400 square metres – a footprint unprecedented in two decades of Austech expos.

With so much on display across such a large footprint, the challenge facing visitors to the exhibition will be just getting round to seeing everything. To ensure that not a minute at the show is wasted, Austech’s organisers strongly advise anyone planning to attend to register in advance, at www.amtil.com.au/austech.

“This is such a big show with so much to see, so it’s really worth taking the time in advance to ensure you make the most of every minute,” adds Banks. “We’re expecting high numbers of visitors, so you can save time and beat the queues by registering online. Plus we’ve got lots of information on the Austech website about what to expect at the show, and tools to help you plan your time there.”

Austech’s organisers have partnered up with event management software specialists Map Your Show, to create a set of online tools that lets you plan your visit in advance. Users can explore details about all the organisations exhibiting, and view the exhibition floorplan to plot a course around Austech 2019. You can also create a personalised profile to save details of exhibitors you need to see, set up a calendar, and print out an agenda. Just visit the Austech page on the AMTIL website (www.amtil.com.au/austech) and click the button marked ‘Exhibitor Directory’.

More than 10,000 industrial decision makers are expected to attend Austech 2019, where they will be able to check out the latest technology up close and find out what it can bring their businesses. Every aspect of manufacturing technology will be covered, from enormous laser cutters and press brakes, down to the tiniest precision cutting tools, as well as state-of-the-art support systems, software and accessories, and the myriad services that are essential to any manufacturing operation. Austech 2019 will also feature an ever wider spectrum of technologies vital to the modern manufacturing business.
