Overview
The first night accommodation commences in London CBD on Saturday 1 June with the program kicking off on Sunday 2 June at 9:00am and concludes in Aberdeen at our hotel on Saturday 8 June at 12:30pm.
Study Tour participants are responsible for their own travel to London and back from Aberdeen, travel insurance and visas if required – Australian citizens don’t require visas for travel to the UK.
7 day program includes:
Presentations by industry experts and leading players in offsite construction, including
Waugh Thistleton Architects;
Mark Farmer (Cast Consulting and advisor to UK government);
Nick Milestone (Chairman of TRADA); and
Various structural engineers undertaking engineered timber and hybrid projects.
factory and project visit program starting in London and finishing in Aberdeen, featuring a 6 level hybrid timber and steel office in London, modular, light gauge steel framed panel systems, brick-skinned timber panel system display homes, and visit one of the first and finest Scottish whiskey distillery.
Accommodation: 7 nights including breakfasts, ie nights of Saturday 1 June to Friday 7 June inclusive. Participants wishing to stay the night of Saturday 8 June in Aberdeen are to make their own hotel arrangements.
Luxury Tour Coach for travel from London to Aberdeen (Tuesday – Saturday inclusive). Coach is fully equipped with WC, Wifi, SkyTV, and USB charging points.
Opening Dinner in London evening of Monday 3 June, including drinks.
Closing Dinner in Aberdeen evening of Friday 7 June, including drinks.
(Other dinners are own program and cost in the cities we are staying in.)
Lunches on Sunday through Friday (6 lunches) included.
Cost: $6,950 payable upon registration. (GST is not applicable). Excludes airfares to and from UK.

Swan / NU build
NU living and the Beechwood Village The company’s ‘design your own’ homes consist of modular units that are imported from Austria as CLT panels, cut and assembled in Swan’s factory. Each home is made up of between two and six modules, depending on the size, which can be tailored exactly by its prospective inhabitants. Swan’s architects, PTE, have created a design code from which customers can choose (online, or in the marketing suite) from a menu of external materials such as bricks, render or tiled cladding, windows, and internal layouts, including floor type and white goods, right down to tap fittings.
