Sue Rolland Champion of prefab Award (Individual Award)
The Sue Rolland Champion of Prefab Award recognises an individual who has contributed to the prefabrication industry through innovation or advocacy. The winner is selected by the prefabAUS Board of Directors.
Sue Rolland was the co-owner of KL Modular Systems Australia (KLMSA) from 2007-2022 and an early contributor to industry growth who helped establish prefabAUS and became a founding board member in 2013.
Sue began her prefab career with KL Modular Systems Australia in 2002 and became a co-owner in 2007, remaining in that role until the successful sale of the business to SHAPE Australia in 2022. She played a key role in developing the strategic direction for prefabAUS and further demonstrated her commitment by contributing seed funding to start the organisation.
Sue was instrumental in developing the strategic direction for prefabAUS and further demonstrated her commitment to the industry by contributing seed funding to begin the organisation. Together with the other prefabAUS founders, Sue recognized the urgent need for business collaboration and industry unity, which has helped create what we have here today.
Sue encapsulates the spirit of this award as she was indeed a champion of prefabrication and a champion of the industry.
The inaugural winner of the Sue Rolland Champion of prefab Award was Scott Hearne from Sensum.
