Fabprefab was founded in 2016 by Tony Olding, with over 35 years of experience in residential, retirement living, and commercial building sectors. The company is now led by Managing Director Ed Callanan, a licensed builder and carpenter with 15 years' experience. Fabprefab manufactures unique, factory-built dwellings designed in collaboration with leading architects TRIAS and CHROFI. Built at their custom production facility in Somersby on the NSW Central Coast using cross-laminated timber (CLT) from sustainably managed Australian forests, the homes achieve approximately 10-week build times with installation possible in as little as one day. With capacity to build up to 50 houses per year, Fabprefab offers a total prefab building solution from permit coordination through design, manufacture, and on-site installation. The Minima range received a Commendation in the sustainability category of the HOUSES awards.
